Bassist Jim Hall has been playing guitar, singing, and writing songs for longer than he can remember. He has performed in a large variety of musical groups. He’s done everything from playing stand-up bass for a Bossa Nova combo to crooning ballads for The Rod Smith Big Band. Beginning in the late 1980s, he played electric bass and provided vocals at lounges, weddings, pubs and clubs with a terrifically varied line-up of groups.

Drummer Jim Peterson co-founded SAINTRIO with Mr. Hall in 2008. A North Dakota native, he began his onstage professional career at the age of 11. He has held various positions in bands, including guitarist, bassist, lead singer and drummer. Jim estimates he has been in about a dozen bands through the years, and very few of them have been “short-lived”. He’s played a variety of music, but rock and roll has always been a favorite.

Guitarist Michael Walters grew up in San Diego and was a founding member of the wildly popular, Justin Thyme Band. The band toured military bases throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona eventually doing overseas shows in Kyoto, Japan and Nuremberg, Germany. Mike plays guitar, keyboards, and violin. He owns a home studio and has produced and played on more than a hundred recordings. He has produced bands like The Vibro Champs, Lonesome Fugitive, Reverse Cowgirl, Hillbilly Mafia, and The Last Protocol. Moving to Minnesota in 1989, Mike has played with Rave On, Bob and the Beachcombers, White Sidewalls, Swing Crew, Sherwin Linton, Cocktail Stevie, The Shadowcasters, American Roadhouse, The Happy Hour Hillbillies, and (since 2013) SAINTRIO. Evidence indicates he can’t hold a job.
